Our modular system

With over 30 years’ experience in thermal protection, your project will benefit from faster prototyping and a design that takes thermal load, installation space, weight and mass production into account right from the start.

The systems we have developed in-house are called CIVO and can be freely combined with one another.
Where required, we also process commercially available resin systems and fibres
– and combine these, for example, with our Hiflecs coatings.

CIVO enables heat protection to be tailored to specific projects.

Our in-house developed CIVO heat protection system has been proving its worth in Formula 1 for decades. The design combines high temperature resistance, reflective properties and low weight with precise integration into a confined space.

With over 1,000 backplates produced each year, our expertise has been tried and tested in series production.

Here, on the braking system of a former LMP1 car, a backplate coated with CIVO HIFLECS can be seen fitted directly to the brake disc. We supply over 1,000 backplates like this one every year. The fibre, matrix, structure and manufacturing process are precisely tailored to each customer’s requirements. This fine-tuning of all parameters is the result of the expertise we have built up over many years.

What works in motor racing can be applied to other high-temperature applications.

Whether it’s an exhaust system, a turbocharger, a brake or a sidepod: CIVO heat protection systems are developed for applications in which several requirements usually have to be met simultaneously — such as insulation, reflection, low weight, corrosion resistance and the protection of adjacent components.

What works in motorsport under extreme heat and corrosive conditions also proves its worth in aviation, the marine sector and industry.

Heat protection must not only function thermally, but also be manufactured to consistent standards and supplied ready for installation.
