Fibre-reinforced composite structures
Composite Impulse develops, validates and manufactures fibre-reinforced composite components, sub-assemblies and complete systems in-house.
This enables prototypes to be produced in just a few weeks and series production solutions to be delivered with reduced investment risk
— underpinned by certified processes in accordance with EN 9100, ISO 9001 and EASA Part 21G.

A partner right from the start
The key decisions are made before the first tool is built.
Composite projects are successful when requirements are clarified at an early stage, processes are clearly defined,
and interfaces between development, manufacturing and quality are coordinated.
That is why we conceive structural components from the outset as a system that can be industrialised — with material characterisation, toolmaking, manufacturing, integration and quality assurance all provided from a single source.
WHY We
We supply structural components, assemblies and complete systems.
Prototyping without bottlenecks
Your situation
External dependencies and complex supply chains often cause delays of several weeks in prototype development.
Our solution
End-to-end in-house engineering and our own toolmaking facilities ensure that the first operational prototypes are ready on time for the target deadline.
Scaling without investment risk
Your situation
Making the transition to small- and medium-volume production requires significant investment in specialised machinery and equipment.
Our solution
We manage the entire process chain, handling series production and quality assurance – you receive components ready for type approval.
A single point of contact for the system
Your situation
Integrating electronics and mechanical components into fibre-reinforced composite structures is challenging and often complex.
Our solution
We integrate sensors, cable harnesses and mechanical components directly into the structure and supply ready-to-use components.
Four factors determine whether composite structures are suitable for mass production:
Development
Work together to define load cases, interfaces and approval requirements precisely.

Approved in accordance with EASA Part 21G, EN 9100 and ISO 9001
Over 2,200 projects with over 90 clients and partners. Cross-sector expertise in aviation, motorsport and marine.
Make process decisions early on – save weight later.
Our successful collaboration with Airbus on the Clean Sky 2 project demonstrates that the manufacturing process must be taken into account at an early stage of development. It was precisely this that enabled us, once development had been successfully completed, to manufacture the doors of the Airbus RACER using a fully monocoque construction in an autoclave. This allowed us to reduce weight whilst maintaining the same performance.

Speed comes from clear requirements.
The HWA EVO.R speaks for itself: clear requirements, open communication and mutual trust made it possible to efficiently carry out the design, strength analysis and production in the shortest possible time – right through to on-time delivery to the Nürburgring.

Mass production using integrated systems.
We have been working with MacArtney on the TRIAXUS for many years now. Produced in series with quantities in the mid double-digit range, it is manufactured entirely in-house, and the pre-assembly of all built-in components is carried out here. This transfer of knowledge benefits our UxS projects just as much as it does our series production.

High temperatures on the component?
In the aviation and motorsport industries, fibre-reinforced composite structures are often exposed to extreme temperatures. We integrate our structural components in-house with our thermal protection systems.
